It's not as if I like lying to my dad. Some people, I know, they get off on pulling one over on their parents and then bragging about what idiots Mom and Dad are. That's not my thing. And not because I'm some kiss-ass who never does anything wrong or because I'm afraid of getting caught.

I just think lying's more trouble than it's worth. First, you've got to think of a story, then you've got to remember the story, then you've got to set it up so that all your facts fit... hell, lying is supposed to make life easier, right? How's all that work easier?

But tonight is a different case. No way is Dad letting me go to the concert if he thinks Kevin is going to be there, and he certainly won't let me hang out after. So this is his doing. He's practically forced me to lie to him. If Dad thinks I'm out with Jade, he won't care what we're doing or how late we are getting home. Jade's supposed to be a good influence on me. Not like Kevin. Jade's nothing like Kevin.

Sometimes you have to lie...it's inevitable.

Best of luck.

Luke,

Well you are definitely not wrong about lying being hard work. What I can't figure out is why on earth you would lie to Holden and actually think you'd get away with it? This is Oakdale no one ever get away with lying, unless they are Barbara Ryan, but lets face it you are no Barbara Ryan! You thought things were bad before, after this lie comes out things are going to be a hundred times worse.

Well good luck to you all the same, and say goodbye to your little sisters for me. I'll miss you.

Your Aunt Meg

P.S. Holden's right, Kevin is a bad influence on you. As for Jade, don't let your guard down, she's trouble.

Hey 'lil bro!

Be careful. Holden's not as gullible as he looks. I know from experience. Just do what you think is best, but be careful. If push comes to shove and Holden DOES find out you went to the concer with Kevin, you'll have to face the music.

And so will Jade. Holden's just getting to where he can trust her and by you bringing her into this, she's just as guilty as you.

But I have faith in you and I know that when the time comes and the circumstances call for it, you always seem to do the right thing.

Just let that be sooner...rather than later.

Love from Seattle,
Aaron & Ali

Luke,

I hope everything works out well between you and Uncle Holden, but lying will just make things worse and more complicated. Trust me, when Dusty lied to me about the boxing match, our relationship never recovered. Just trust your dad, he's only wants what's best for you and has your best interests at heart. And like Meg said, I'd be careful about Jade. You never know who those Oakdale newbies really are.

Love,
Lucy

Luke,
It is great to see that you are still alive, it has been so long since we heard from you. I thought maybe your parents had you locked away somewhere.
Anyway, lying can be dangerous. It is like a double sided sword, and once you get a reputation it is hard to recover, trust me I know. But sometimes lying is a necessary evil.
I hope everything works out. You should come visit me and aaron in seattle sometime. Maybe over spring break? I'm sure you could use a break from the parents.
Best of luck
Alison

Bridget, hon, you are from planet perv.

Now, Joe, take it from me. Lying never works. Someone will come along acting like a horse's patoot and blow your story right out of water. Just ask that dirty 'ho Carly.

So, just be ready for it or, at the very least, have plenty of cash on hand to pay everyone off.

Oh, FYI, your cousin Jade is just as thin and sweet as saltwater taffy; but, she needs to dial it down because she's giving me the diabetes.

Bridget-

You've never seemed so pervy before. Now I can admit, incest does not bother me in the least (too open minded for my own good), and neither does homosexuality (hell, i'm flexable, and my dad is waaaaay bent), but age gap....that's a whole different situation. Why date your father figure, that's kind of...weird in my book. I dunno, I'm just sayin'.

Even though technically that ain' his father, still. Jade...she seems too sweetsy to be his type, I adore her, but gosh, she needs to join the bad girl crowd, them are always fun. Kevin, pushes too much on the drinking, but other than that he's cool.

Though all in all it's Luciano here's choice. ^_^

I think that Kevin is the bees knees.

He can eat crackers(or drink Stoli) in my bed anytime.

Not that I have anything against Luke. As far as I'm concerned, these bottoms are the tops!

Cheers!

Luke, I'm glad you decided to start taking care of yourself. I wondered what was up when you said drinking wasn't a problem.

I just wish you Dad didn't hate me so much. We've been friends forever.

Luke, take it from me, Tell Lilly and Holden about your life and how you feel. Don't keep it bottled up, or it will drive you crazy. When I was your age, I wish I had told my parents the truth, it would have made my life much easier.

Good Luck!
